    Michael Wohl is a pioneer of desktop video, and a man of true vision. Indeed, if you want to know the true history of Final Cut Pro, ask Michael Wohl. Michael was one of the original designers of Final Cut Pro, when Macromedia started developing the application in 1995 (long before Apple purchased the program). Instrumental to the development and design of this awesome video editing application, Michael was involved in all aspects of its design until several years after Apple acquired the software, at which point he left to pursue his other passion as a film director.     About Jason Levine
    Jason Levine, Worldwide Evangelist for Adobe, travels the globe educating and promoting Adobe Creative Suite Production Premium. Levine has conducted training/workflow sessions for some of the top broadcast corporations in Europe and Asia including BBC, RTL and SVT. Prior to Adobe, Jason was a full-time recording engineer working in studios coast-to-coast, engineering hundreds of recordings in a multitude of genres, prompting the formation of BoodahJooMusic Publishing. Since 2005, Jason has presented to more than 100,000 people, from San Francisco to Sydney and everywhere in between.


    - "Avid Media Composer 5.5" - Eddie Hamilton and Michael Krulik 
    Film editor Eddie Hamilton will describe the editorial of "X-Men: First Class" and "Kick-Ass" Michael Krulik of AVID will share the latest news on Avid Media Composer.

    About Eddie Hamilton
    Eddie recently cut "X-Men: First Class" with Lee Smith for 20th Century Fox, an intense production that powered from first day of principal photography to final day of sound mixing in only 9 months, and he was the co-editor of "Kick-Ass", the US number one commercial and critical hit. After 15 years in the industry Eddie has cut over 20 feature films (both indies and studio movies) in a wide variety of genres as well as TV dramas, documentaries andaward-winning shorts. His enthusiasm for big screen storytelling is matched only by his total dedication to the craft of film editing, his world-class technical expertise and his undisputed love of chocolate. He is currently cutting "The Loft" for director Erik Van Looy.


    - "The Best of Bloom" - Philip Bloom 
    Philip will present a compilation of video clips that comprise what he feels is his best work over the last year.

    For the past 22+ years I have been following my passion as a career and it has taken me around the world to places I have felt privileged to have seen.
    I have filmed, directed and edited short films, documentaries and much more from Clapham to Cambodia and in 2005 I was short listed for a BAFTA craft award for my series of short films for Sky News “If I were Prime Minister”
    I consider myself as one of the new breed of digital cinematographers. MORE


     

    Autodesk Smoke for Post Production - Ken La Rue
    Autodesk’s Ken La Rue will show you what it takes to put together a 3D stereoscopic music video from edit to visual effects to finish using Autodesk Smoke for Mac.
     

    About Ken La Rue
    Ken La Rue is the Autodesk Technical Marketing Manager for Smoke. He has been working at Autodesk for the past 8 years focusing on editing and compositing in film and television. He has traveled around the world training and supporting Autodesk software such as Smoke, Flame and Combustion. Some of the clients he has worked with are Disney Animation Studios, DreamWorks, EA and CBC to name a few. Ken also taught compositing and special effect classes DePaul University in Chicago, IL.


    - Blackmagic Design "DaVinci Resolve 8" - Dado Valentic
    Dado Valentic will be talking about using Resolve on his recent commercial projects for Christian Dior and talking about workflow with FCP. He will also showcase some of his 3D work.

    About Dado Valentic

    Dado Valentic is the founder of the UK’s first datalab, MYTHERAPY. He is an award-winning artist who spends most of his time in London and LA colour grading feature films, commercials and television documentaries.  His specialty lies in finishing stereoscopic 3D projects, like the BAFTA winning ‘Flying with Monsters’ (2011), the world’s first 3D opera ‘Carmen in 3D’ (2011), and 3D commercials for Panasonic, Red Bull and Nintendo. Dado is well known for his grading and retouching work for fashion and beauty industry. He has worked with leading fashion photographer David Sims and his DOP, John Lynch, and recently has completed projects for Christian Dior and Zara.
